Piedmont takes pride in being the only local Medicare Advantage plan in Central Virginia. As part of the Centra Health System, Piedmont Community Health Plan operates on the principles that your personal physician should manage your healthcare, not out-of-town insurance administrators, and that there should be close cooperation between local healthcare providers, patients and employers. Piedmont knows what Virginians want in a plan. That is why each of our plans are strategically designed with our beneficiaries' needs in mind.

With almost 19 years of commercial health care experience, Piedmont Community HealthCare set the standard for quality of care. In our continuous effort to provide local coverage and service to as much of the community in which we serve, Piedmont Community HealthCare began offering Piedmont Medicare Advantage (PPO) in 2011. Piedmont Medicare Advantage follows the same vision of providing quality and efficiency, while insisting that we provide the knowledge necessary to assist beneficiaries in making an educated decision about their health care coverage.

Piedmont Medicare Advantage is a PPO plan with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in Piedmont Medicare Advantage depends on contract renewal.
