Centra's Acute Rehabilitation is a hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) whose goal is to restore functional ability and quality of life to those recovering from serious illnesses, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation and trauma.
Trauma Services
Lynchburg General Hospital is one of twenty-one trauma centers in the commonwealth of Virginia, and one of nine Level II centers.
Radiology Services
Centra Radiology Services offers multiple radiology tests which can be used to diagnose, manage and treat a wide variety of medical disorders and diseases
Critical Care
Centra's Intensive Care Units (ICUs) are units within the hospital that are designed to care for patients whose inuries or illnesses are very serious and can sometimes present a threat to their lives.
Emergency Services
Centra Emergency departments are open 24 hours to serve patients who are seriously injured or ill and require immediate care.
Centra One Flight Services
Centra One’s flight team, responds to the scene of major accidents, performs inter-facility transports for critically ill patients, and provides medical service to the central Virginia region.
Maternity Services
At Centra, we look at each birth as a miracle and every baby as unique. We encourage a family-centered approach to childbirth where patients are supported through every step of the birthing process through shared decision making and evidence based practice.
General Surgery
Centra General Surgery utilizes the most advanced approach to procedures with compassionate care.
